We have provided this series of guidance to provide some general advice on keeping safe and secure in rented property, but it cannot cover every eventuality. If you are unsure about anything with your house, particularly if you are concerned for your safety, get advice urgently. Many colleges and universities have Student Advice Centres or similar, or you could speak to a Citizens’ Advice Bureau.
